Triple Double 3v3 football

Is a three a side football tournament where the first team that scores wins. Normal football rules apply, except the ball can be played off the walls and there are no offsides, no keepers, no sliding tackles and no interference with the ball is allowed in the goal areas.

To win the tournament, teams have to get through the group stages of the competition and then progress through the knockout rounds.

Each team will play at least 3 games.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS : Only three field players at one time plus a maximum of one sub per team. The sub is vital as he/she will be responsible for throw ins.

Players may only play on one team per division. There are no goalkeepers in 3-v-3 football. Substitutes may occur at any dead ball situation, but players must get referees attention to enter.

GOAL AREA : The goal area, eight feet wide by six feet long, is directly in front of the goal. No player may touch the ball within the goal area, however any player may move through the goal area. If a defender touches the ball in the goal area, a penalty kick is awarded to the offensive team. If an offensive player touches the ball within the goal area, a goal kick is awarded to the defensive team. If the ball comes to a complete stop in the goal area. regardless of which team touched it last, a goal kick is awarded to the defensive team.

GAME DURATION: Each game is won by the first team to 3 goals win, if no goals have been scored after 10mins of play then a 3min extra time period will be played and if still goalless then a penalty shootout shall follow.

NO OFFSIDES AND NO SLIDE TACKLING ALLOWED

FIVE YARD RULE: In all dead ball situations, defending players must stand at least five yards away from the ball. If the defensive player's goal area is closer than five yards, the ball shall be placed five yards from the goal area in line with the place of the penalty.

THROW-INS: When out of bounds the ball shall be thrown in by the forth man/ sub of the respective team.

DEAD BALLS: All dead ball kicks (kick-ins, free kicks, kick-offs) are indirect with exception of penalty kicks.

KICK OFF : May be taken in any direction.

PENALTY KICKS : Shall be awarded if, in the referee's opinion, a scoring opportunity was nullified by the infraction. One defender is allowed to take the place of a goalie for a penalty.

PLAYER EJECTION (YELLOW/RED CARD) : Referees have the right to eject a player from the game for continual disobedience or as a result of an incident that warrants sending the player off. The tournament organiser will decide suspension from additional games.

Players and spectators are expected to act in the nature of good sportsmanship at all times. Abuse of the referees will not be tolerated. Any instance of such conduct will disqualify the responsible team from the event.
